If you want to check on this issue, locate the hose which leads up to the evaporator drain pan. Refer to a manual specific to this vehicle if you need help in finding it. Once you locate the hose, clean any mud or debris from it. However, if the end of the hose isn't clogged with any debris, the clog must either be further up the hose or in the base of the drain pan. Once the drain pan is draining properly again, it will take at least a couple of days for the algae-like organisms to dry up and for the mildew odor to go away

Recommendation:

The drain pan of the A/C evaporator unit isn't draining. It is best to have an A/C specialist look at this, as the clog may be further up in the system and difficult to access
