Question: Which mechanic should I believe?
My 2002 Honda Civic LX sedan (140,000 mi) was due for state inspection. The first garage said the front axle CV boot was leaking. I wanted another opinion do I took it to another garage. That mechanic said it wasn't the CV boot, but the oil pan leaking and dripping onto the boot which made the first mechanic think that and it would cost over $700 to fix the oil pan. Then I tried the last major garage here and that mechanic said it was the CAM plug leaking and he'd have to charge me about $200 if he could even get the parts and that I should get a new battery. Now who do I believe?
