Question: the fuel pump went out i replaced it with a new1 and now the gas gage dont work

Did you check to make sure the new pump worked, new don't mean perfect. If pump works, it just about has to be electrical. Make sure the wiring is replaced correctly (disconnect battery to
be on safe side) sometimes a wire will be a little out of place when replacing and overlooked.
Are all your instruments working? Also a fuel pump relay that could be bad. All this depends on type of car, and if it is fuel injected or not.
