Question: Replacing a rear BMW fender - cost?

The rear fender on my 1998 BMW 328i is rusting out and needs to be replaced (previous body work only masked the problem for a year). What would it cost for a full replacement, parts and labor?

I would estimate the fender to cost between 150-200, and the labor time to cost about 100-150 for labor.
The fender is available for 150 here:

You could try asking around at a bmw enthusiast forum, here's one for the 3 series:

You can also find a local mechanic for body work in the service your 3-series section at driverside (go to find a local mechanic then type in your ZIP).

By Basem Wasef   The BMW 3-series is, for lack of milder terminology, a crucially important model for the Bavarian brand. Every third BMW sold in the U.S. is a 3-series, and buyers tend to be die-hards for what they affectionately believe (thanks to the BMW marketing team) is the "Ultimate Driving Machine." And so BMW cautiously but assertiv ...
